Ah yes, the episode where Yami gets punched in the face unless you’re in the US, Kaiba throws a temper tantrum, and Dartz looks FIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE in a business suit.

Ugh I wish the punch was dubbed so bad! I want to hear Yami groan…I mean…Dan is a great Voice Actor!! 4 more episodes to go!!

I didn’t mind the punch being taken out so much. Our poor boy has suffered enough. 

But I found an interning parallel. Out of everyone, probably Joey has the best idea of how Atem feels right now. How? The anchor duel, that’s how! Marik brainwashed him into that duel, and he used some pretty harsh methods.  Heck, Yugi did the same thing then as he did now; sacrificing himself to protect his friend! Even though he broke free, Joey was still guilt ridden for hurting Yugi. 

Then Mai steps up and smacks Joey, reminding him of his Duelist’s pride and why he duels. So basically, Joey’s copying Mai in trying to knock some sense into Atem. Unfortunately, it didn’t work as well for the Pharaoh as it did for Joey.
